1979

The 1979 Topps Nolan Ryan baseball cards shows a star player still going strong with 200 innings pitched during the season.  The hundreds of strikeout he pulled off during the season proved that he had power as well as durability.

His impressive records endure, and so does the appeal of the 1979 Topps Nolan Ryan baseball card which avid collectors still seek out today.

Clashes with management and a rocky team record for the season would lead to the Ryan Express leaving the Anaheim station after this season.

It was the end of one era for Nolan Ryan but certainly not an end to his jaw dropping achievements. The mediocre nature of this season though has kept demand low for ’79 Ryan cards.

Mint cards list at 20 bucks but often sell for closer to 30, and a card with a little damage can be had for as low as $5.

I don’t know what the future holds for the value of 1979 Nolan Ryan cards but I think they’re worth owning for the pivotal events of that season alone.
