1986 Topps Nolan Ryan

1986 saw a disappointing season for fans of Ryan`s Astros when they let down the world with a squeaker of a loss in the NL championship series.

They finally gave up the ghost in a Game 5 that lasted 12 innings! None of this should affect the Ryan legacy though. His performance for the '86 season included his usual heroics on the mound.

Ryan`s superior individual performance should keep interest in these cards high for years to come. He was still great, but was starting to come down the other side of the peak and the '86 cards are a poignant reminder of that.

The 1986 Topps Nolan Ryan baseball cards mark the seventh time Nolan Ryan would achieve All-Star status.

The hundred of inning pitched and hundreds of strikeouts he accomplished in one season alone left no doubt that he had earned the title.

His baseball cards maintain their own kind of all star status and are consistently in demand by avid collectors.
